Advising
Academic advising is a collaborative process. Our advisors can help in many ways, including: planning your program; resolving registration issues; getting transfer courses evaluated; and scheduling courses. Advisors can also connect you with resources to help you succeed in your studies and to find community and work experience.
Please see the sections below for information about how to connect with an advisor. We also have some quick links for common requests:
- Overrides for CS courses (CS 161, 162, 163, 201, 250, 251, 302).
- Students requiring a signature for a petition should schedule an appointment.
- All new undergraduate students are required to meet with an advisor within their first two terms at PSU. Students can schedule this mandatory requirement by going to our advising page (scroll down to calendars). Please call 503-725-4631 if you need help scheduling.
- Prospective (not yet enrolled at PSU) students are also able to schedule appointments by accessing the calendars on the advising page.
- Daily drop-in advising for quick questions (Monday-Friday, 10-11 and 1-2). See advising page for zoom link and location if in person.
